FAQs 

Q) What courses are available online?
A) More than 30 courses are available online. Courses span a selection of General Education, Professional Education, Bible and Theology. New courses are in the works and will be added as they become available.

Q) What does it cost?
A) Tuition is the same as the current college tuition for traditional classes. An additional technology fee of $125 per course is charged for the hosting system and includes 24/7/365 technology assistance for students.

Q) How long do courses last?
A) Courses are offered in an 8 week format (10 weeks total which includes the 2 weeks at the end of each class for the completion of assignments).

Program Information

General Description

Calvary Bible College has entered into a partnership with the Consortium of Online Christian Colleges to offer students the opportunity to take a variety of college courses online. These courses are offered for college credit and may be used to meet traditional or non-traditional program requirements. Students may take an online course to add to their current semester load or over the summer to lighten their fall or spring semester load.

Steps to Success

Step One: New or returning students are to complete the application process. To access the Admissions packet, click here, or call 800.326.3960, 816.322.3960, or . Be sure to report your Ability Assessment number to the Admissions staff.

Current students should take the Ability Assessment before enrolling in an online course. After carefully reading the remaining steps, steps two through six, current students may then proceed to  the Non-Traditional Studies Office (or call 816-322-0110, x. 1307) to enroll in an Online course.

Step Two: For Financial Aid questions or to set up a payment schedule, call 816.322.0110, or for additional information. Tuition for online courses is the same as for any college course. There is a technology fee of $125 per course in addition to tuition.

Step Three: Students will receive telephone, mail, and/or email confirmation of their acceptance into the college and enrollment information at that time. For enrollment assistance,  the Non-Traditional Studies Office.

Step Four: Textbooks may be purchased from any source the student desires. Students must purchase their textbooks and course materials prior to their logon date.

Step Five: Several days before the online course is to begin, you will receive an email from the Non-Traditional Studies Office, detailing your logon date, your user name, password, web address for accessing each course, and your instructor's name and contact information.

Step Six: Be sure to logon on the correct date to begin your online learning experience.

Program Essentials

  1. Normally, a residential student may not enroll in an online course when the equivalent course is offered in the same semester. Exceptions must be approved by the Registrar.
  2. Students under Academic Probation may not enroll in an online course without permission from the Registrar.
  3. Students are expected to complete all course work within the designated time frame. Extensions to complete course work must be submitted to the Registrar before the course conclusion. The Registrar may refer the extension request to the Academic Curriculum Committee for action.
  4. Courses dropped after the logon date but before any coursework is due will receive a "W" for the course. Courses dropped once coursework is due will receive either a "WP" or a "WF" as assigned by the course instructor.
  5. Refunds for courses dropped are based on the following criteria:
    • 100% of the tuition and the technology fee will be refunded if the NTS office is notified before 12:00 noon the day before your logon date. After this date and time, the technology fee will not be refunded.
    • 60% of the tuition is refunded beginning after 12:00 noon the day before the logon date and ending the day before week two begins. The technology fee will not be refunded.
    • 40% of the tuition will be refunded after week two begins but before week three begins.
    • 0% will be refunded beginning the first day of week three.
