Jeanette Regier has been involved in the Calvary Bible College athletic program for the past 15 years. She spent four years as the head basketball coach and 14 years as the head volleyball coach before resigning last season so that she could pursue a PhD in Health Education. She will continue with her responsibilities as the athletic director and instructor in the physical education department while she attends classes.

Prior to working at Calvary, she was on the coaching staff at Berean Academy in Newton, Kansas. During her four years at Berean she served as head women's volleyball coach, assistant basketball coach, and assistant track coach.

The Newton, Kansas, native graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Emporia State University in 1991. Regier relocated to Belton in 1996 and finished her Master's Degree in Physical Education in May 2002. She hopes to finish her PhD by 2013.

Regier hopes to instill enthusiasm into the athletic program. Her goal for each season is to develop coaches who will lead mentally tenacious players and teach them to play aggressively. She has a strong desire to see each coach and each player that wears a Calvary uniform demonstrate consistent Christian character both on and off the court, realizing that what they become after athletic competition is more important than what they become during competition.

About

A graduate of Calvary, Lori Diffenderfer returns to the college in 2009. She takes the helm of a Calvary Bible College program that returns two starters from the 2008 season which saw the Warriors finish in third place in the MCCC Conference Tournament. Diffenderfer is excited to see what this younger version of the Warriors can accomplish this year!

Diffenderfer, a native of El Paso, IL., played basketball for three years and volleyball for two years at Calvary before beginning her basketball coaching career as an assistant under head coach Mike Oldham in 2003-2004 and head coach Erin Prigge in 2004-2007. She helped to implement a defensive philosophy that has made a big impact on the Lady Warrior program as they seek to continue to work toward the top in the MCCC Conference.

Diffenderfer believes that quality volleyball can be combined with a passionate Christian faith. As she states, “Some programs emphasize quality volleyball but at the expense of their Christian faith. Others demonstrate a passionate faith, but they don’t play very attractive volleyball. I believe the two can be combined. We are far from perfect in this endeavor, but this premise remains our foundation and objective.”

In addition to coaching, Diffenderfer works at Epic Landscape Productions. Lori and her husband, Aaron, live in Belton. She enjoys playing sports, going to Royals games, spending time with her husband, family, and friends, and is active in her local church.
