Spiritual expectations for students at Calvary Bible College are purposefully high. They could not be otherwise and follow biblical principles. Calvary seeks to create and encourage a godly atmosphere for students to make spiritual decisions.
Primary to spiritual growth is a consistent, personal devotional life along with faithful fulfillment of responsibilities. These responsibilities include attending classes, chapel services, prayer meetings, local church services, and similar activities. Consistent completion of class and Christian ministry assignments and proper adjustment to college life also demonstrate maturity.
The College has the responsibility, under God, to maintain standards that are above reproach. The College seeks to cultivate personal habits that will bring honor to the name and person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are certain practices which are considered to be a hindrance to spiritual growth and development. Students attending Calvary are to refrain from smoking, dancing, using alcohol or illicit drugs in any form, attending movie theaters, and listening to secular rock or other contemporary music that does not glorify the Lord. Televisions are not to be brought to campus, and self-control is to be exercised in the use of radio and stereo equipment.
Calvary complies with federal regulations regarding “drug and alcohol abuse prevention.” Information may be obtained in the Student Deans Office.
The standards concerning student behavior are set forth in detail in the Student Life Handbook. Guidance in these areas is provided through the Student Deans Department as well as through faculty advisors.
Students wishing to become engaged while enrolled at Calvary are to inform the Student Deans Office at least one month prior to the intended engagement. Students under the age of 21 are to present a letter from their parents or guardians sanctioning the intended engagement. The intended engagement will be held in confidence until the engagement is announced publicly.
Because the lifetime commitment of marriage requires significant wisdom and maturity, students are strongly encouraged not to marry until they have completed their sophomore year or have reached the age of 20. Weddings are to be scheduled during Christmas or summer break. This is to allow for a time of adjustment before continuing studies. Students not following this guideline will be required to withdraw from Calvary for the remainder of the semester in which they marry.
Attending Calvary Bible College is a privilege, not a right. The College may insist on the withdrawal of a student at any time that the student, in the opinion of the College, does not conform to the established regulations and standards of conduct.

Ample and spacious parking is available on campus. All students are permitted to have cars on campus by properly registering them with the Security Department. Vehicle identification stickers are to be displayed in the lower left corner of the rear windshield on the driver’s side. The ID sticker is valid as long as the student maintains enrollment at Calvary and continues to drive the vehicle on campus. All vehicles driven on campus by students are to be registered. Registration is needed for easy identification in the event of an emergency (i.e., vehicle needs to be moved, lights left on, etc.).
